Sponsorship
Since 2012 we have trialled a new project of placing destitute children and women in private accommodation rather then in institutions and orphanages. We provide them with shelter, food, clothing, medical assistance and education, but not money.
THIS HAS BEEN A MOST SUCCESSFUL PROJECT WITH MANY POSITIVE OUTCOMES. WITHOUT THE DEDICATION AND TIRELESS WORK OF OUR VERY OWN FAZILA TASMIM, THIS PROJECT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE. THANK YOU FAZILA.

Each child is placed within a family unit and where applicable mother and siblings are not separated from any individual child. We have found that keeping the family intact in a homely atmosphere is conducive to a child's emotional and educational well being as well as ensuring a positive adjustment in all aspects of life.
In exchange each widow and older children where possible must do some vocational training or basis education. This ensures their future and puts them on the road to self sufficiency. Each widow or carer must give an undertaking that the younger children are sent to local schools and that no child is sent out onto the streets to beg or be placed in moral danger.
Regular monthly checks are made by our staff and the children's progress is monitored closely.
Most of our children particularly the girls have excelled in their studies, and improvement in their emotional and physical well being has been miraculous.
So many of Afghanistan's widows and children who are destitute on the streets, or living in the squalor of the tent cities on the outskirts of Kabul, dream of a similar opportunity.
Your donation and commitment can make their dream come true.
